PROJECT TIMELINE: 1 week
KEY ACTIVITIES: Use Lens Studio to create an AR filter and learn about the different types of social AR with Snapchat.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • To get familiar with the Lens Studio : Snapchat interface.

Lens Studio - Building out project

GOALS:

1. To get familiar with the Lens Studio interface. Lens Studio uses similar features, like Nodes that are used in the Unity interface. This was very helpful in learning when doing the team project.

2. Having interactions based off of trigger events and how to apply those based on the features of the face.

3. Understanding the cameras in Lens Studio and what they do.

 

Results:

Lens Studio is pretty intense. It is constantly evolving obviously to get the latest trends and entertainment from all kinds of users. One week was not enough to explore all the ins and outs of the program. It is definitely a handy tool and something to understand more and how you can use it with other programs.
